Coastal Salmon runs are at a critical juncture. Without change we risk losing wild salmon forever.
Clayoquot Sound Salmon Investigation (CSI) is Clayoquot Action’s citizen monitoring program of Clayoquot Sound’s salmon farms.
Get Wild! is an educational program with the goal of protecting wild salmon, by encouraging people to ask for and purchase only wild, not farmed salmon.
Sadly we’ve had to cancel all in-person events until further notice. We look forward to seeing you when it is safe to gather again! Sign up for our newsletter at bottom of page and you’ll hear of any upcoming events, whether online or in person.
Clayoquot Action founders Dan Lewis and Bonny Glambeck are available to do online presentations to University and other groups. Our popular Salmon Forest Salmon People is a one-hour talk which covers local conservation history as well as current environmental challenges. We can also do custom presentations tailored to your curriculum!
“Dan’s deep roots in Tofino and on Tla-o-qui-aht territory offer a broad knowledge base on a range of challenges affecting socio-ecological systems in the area. The photos are beautiful and transport students to the territories and communities of the region (so much so you might forget you’re sitting in your bedroom on your laptop). This is a great opportunity for environmental studies students to see the content they learn in class being put into action real-time.”
